School portraits should be better.

I teamed up with Step Into Art at my daughters’ Boston Public School to create portraits inspired by Kehinde Wiley. The teachers painted the canvas backdrop and the third graders created the bees (school mascot), birds, and flowers to velcro onto it. I created lighting which worked in different ways for the blue sweep behind the students and the Wiley background to their side. It was a joy collaborating to deliver more than the families expected and more than I could have done on my own. Read more about it here.
