Beautiful Dot

In the fall of ‘22, with an Opportunity Grant and the $10K that came with it, I made free portraits at six public libraries in Dorchester, MA - my adopted hometown. Building off my Get Close work coming out the pandemic, I celebrated Dorchester with quick, candid portraits. There were over 200 sittings. I wanted to show the loving, tight, diverse community Dorchester is which just doesn’t get covered in this way as much as it should. The project was picked up by the Dorchester Reporter and then Radio Boston.
